I led the team at TaskForce responsible for "Make Nukes History," a campaign we built in partnership with the Nuclear Threat Initiative timed to the 2024 Academy Awards, where Oppenheimer was the presumptive frontrunner. The concept was a mock "For Your Consideration" campaign, borrowing the language and visual conventions of awards season marketing to redirect attention toward a far more urgent ask: ending nuclear proliferation. The creative challenge was standing out in a crowded OOH environment where people have seconds to absorb a message. We leaned into Oppenheimer's most iconic visual elements using bold iconography and the film's own color palette to signal the connection instantly, without ever naming the movie directly. A split-screen design anchored the campaign, contrasting movie imagery with real-world consequence, shifting between hope and destruction depending on the copy.

The campaign included billboards, a mural in West Hollywood, and more than 1,000 street posters across Los Angeles. We produced a large-scale art installation at The Grove, extending the campaign into a live community engagement experience, staffed by a branded street team and amplified by prominent TikTokers filming on site. An open letter published in the Los Angeles Times, signed by Oppenheimer cast members and Hollywood icons including Jane Fonda, Michael Douglas, Emma Thompson, and Lily Tomlin, brought additional cultural weight to the call to action. Ads in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter closed the loop, connecting the campaign directly to the industry at the center of awards season.
